Leon Potter, Artistic Director

Leon has been involved in the Theatre and Film world for 13 years and has had his hand in over 100 productions. Originally trained at the University of Victoria as a Set and Lighting Designer, he began his career working in a myriad of positions from Actor to Production Manager. Leon began working as a Director in 1994 and quickly became the Artistic Director of the Looking Glass Theatre in Vancouver, which he founded with General Manager, Shelley Bilodeau Potter. He completed his training at the UK's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and Kings College, London with an M.A. with distinction in Text and Performance (focusing on Directing). On top of a passion for Shakespeare and the classics, Leon is currently working with composer Greg Corness on the development of an Interactive Computer Score. He can also be found at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, working as a Theatre History Professor and Technical Director. Recent community involvement includes Vancouver Island Children's Festival and Nanaimo Youth Services Association.

Shelley Bilodeau Potter, General Manager

Working in Vancouver's Professional Theatre community as the Business Manager and Adminstrative Associate for Theatre M.O.M. (Theatre Modular Organizational Management) from 1998 through 2004, Shelley gained invaluable experience in an incredibly challenging environment. She has been involved in the arts (in Theatre, Film and Television) since a very early age, and moved into management 12 years ago through her involvement with various theatre organizations in the Lower Mainland. Shelley and Leon founded The Looking Glass Theatre in 1996 and, since then, has been kept very, very busy. Shelley joined the Blue Peanut team in 1998.
